Why doesn't the registration code I just received not work when I try to enter it?

Please make sure you are using the very latest release of the product you purchased. Get the latest releases in our downloads area.

Will the trial version banner be removed when I purchase?

Once you enter the registration code after purchasing, the banner will be removed.

I faxed or mailed a cheque with my order. How can I find out the status?

Please contact support@avalanche.com.au and provide the details of your name, email address and the date you sent in your order. Note that for cheque orders , your registration code will not be sent until the cheque clears the bank.

Can I download old versions of your software?

Yes. These versions are available from Avalanche. Please email support@avalanche.com.au requesting the appropriate version.

Can I get the software on CD?

You may purchase a CD for an additional cost of $15.00. Otherwise, we do not ship on CD since the download file is small and updates are frequent. Download a trial version and test it out. When you purchase you get a registration code used for converting your trial version into an unlimited version. Make sure you print out the registration code and keep it with your other software. It will allow you to download updates at any time.

How do I move my software to another computer?

Download your software to the new computer and use the registration code you already have to unlock it.

What do I do if my computer crashed and I need a new copy of the software?

Download your software again and use the registration code you already have to unlock it on the new computer. If you do not have your registration code, send us your order number and we will send a new registration code after verifying the sale. If you do not have your order number, send your name, email address and approximate purchase date and we will attempt to look it up for you.

How do I use a purchase order?

In order to use a purchase order, complete your purchase order with company name, address, ABN, telephone, fax and email details and post to Avalanche Technology Group, 2/101 Tulip Street, Sandringham, Victoria, Australia 3191. You will need to enclose cheque or credit card details with your order, unless other arrangements have been made with Avalanche staff. Note that there is a $10 fee for PO processing.

Now that I paid for the software, how do I download it?

If you have already downloaded the trial version, just enter your registration code to unlock it. If you have not downloaded yet, do so and then enter your registration code.

Now that I paid for the software, how do I enter the registration code?

If you are using the Standalone verions of pdfFactory or FinePrint, bring the preview screen up on your monitor and choose the "About" menu tab. You will see the form field to insert your registration code. Insert the registration code provided and press the "Register" button. The trial version banner will now be removed from your software. For Server Edition, full instructions regarding entering your licence code is included in the Server Edition Administration Guide. Please download (and read) this prior to your installation of Server Edition.

Can I use the software on my laptop and my desktop without purchasing again?

Yes, you can. The pdfFactory / FinePrint license allows you to use the software on multiple computers as long as they are not simultaneously used. Please note that the licensing does not allow concurrent usage. This means that each each person accessing the software should have a separate licence.

Why didn't I get my registration code after I purchased?

When you purchase you should get a confirmation email with a registration code to unlock your trial copy. If you did not, please email us support@avalanche.com.au with your order number and we will send it you immediately.

I bought pdfFactory. How do I upgrade to pdfFactory Pro?

Contact our office for full details on upgrading from earlier editions of from pdfFactory to pdfFactory Pro.

Do you have versions for Mac or Linux?

Our software runs on Windows only.

How do I contact you for tech support?

Do you support Type 1 Fonts?

Type 1 fonts are now supported (requires Windows NT/2000/XP/2003), You will need Version 2.43/5.43 onwards to access this support.
